Support Team Joslin in the 115th
Boston Marathon on their inspirational race to the finish!

Flora Allen-Hopson, mother of Celtics Star and Joslin Trustee Ray Allen, will serve as Team Joslin's Captain and lace up her running shoes in honor of her type 1 grandson, Walker. On Arpil 18th, she will lead a team of 13 dedicated and motivated Joslin runners to hit the ground running for the 26.2 mile challenge in support of Joslin's High Hopes Fund. Runners are paired with a Joslin pediatric patient to encourage and inspire their race. Patient partners will have the opportunity to support their teammate and cheer for them along the way.

Please join us in supporting Team Joslin’s courageous runners and patient partners by donating to their run and cheering them on at the Wellesley Hills Church, 207 Washington Street, Wellesley on April 18th!

All accepted runners must make a commitment to fundraise for Joslin’s High Hopes Fund. Funds raised directly support Joslin Diabetes Center's High Hopes Fund in research, education and the ability to give our patients the best care possible. Joslin is the longest running diabetes center in the country, affiliated with Harvard Medical School and focused on finding a cure for this disease. Diabetes is the greatest healthcare epidemic of our time: 24 million children and adults in the U.S. have diabetes and millions more have it but are undiagnosed. Just about everyone knows someone who lives day to day with the trials of diabetes; it truly is a disease that touches us all.
